LOVE FOR RESTORATION IS A FUNDAMENTAL TRAIT OF OUR FAMILY'S HISTORY. IT IS AN ATTRACTION THAT FLEED POWERFUL, DEEP, UNSTOPPABLE, IN OUR BLOOD, AS THE DEDICATION OF THE MEN WHO HAVE MADE OUR COMPANY GREAT, FROM 1854 TO THE PRESENT DAY.
From father to son, from grandfather to grandson, men and women of Gasparoli’s family have conveyed on their wisdom, know how, art and techniques of restoration and building maintenance. Together, we pursue a mission that reminds us to the responsibility and duty of preserving and passing on beauty, in order to feed the eyes and soul of the people of today and tomorrow.
"...this family is very old and originates from the Veneto region. Many men came from it and distinguished in the sciences and fine arts. Among them there are Gasparoli Domenico, gifted with great knowledge of jurisprudence, Antonio, a famous doctor in Vicenza and, from 1536, professor at the University of Padua, and Alessandro, a navy captain who became famous in the war between the Republic of Venice and Albania.”
1824GIOVANNI MARIA GASPAROLIThanks to recent documented research, the company's foundation can be traced back to 1824 by Giovanni Maria Gasparoli, born in Cassano Magnago (Va) in 1824, a decorator by profession. Son of Innocenzo, on 17th April 1821 in Cassano Magnago, he married Rosa Antonia Masina. The couple had eight children: Carlo, Innocente, Giulio, Luigi, Giuseppe, Noè, Luigina and Marietta. Giovanni Maria Gasparoli also worked as a decorator in Buenos Aires: the photo shown here witnesses this period of his life.
- THE DOUBLING - CARLO AND NOÈ1853
![]()
The decorating business was continued by his sons Carlo and Noè, who later decided to separate their ways: Carlo (1853-1916) developed his business in Gallarate, while Noè (1859-1919) kept the headquarters in Cassano Magnago. Noè Gasparoli worked as a decorator alongside the painter Luigi Morgari from Turin. Morgari is a well-known figure who left behind several examples of his work as a decorator of ecclesiastical buildings, including in Lombardy. Morgari painted the figurative parts, while Noè decorated the surfaces with more repetitive elements (frames, shapes, racemes, etc.). As evidence of Noè Gasparoli's painting activity, we preserve at our headquarters, a gift from Luigi Morgari, the decoration project for the Church of S. Maria del Cerro in Cassano Magnago, completed in 1865. In the mid-19th century, therefore, we had two branches: one in Cassano Magnago and the other in Gallarate.
1859CONTINUITY - ERCOLE AND ULISSENoè married Antonia Liati and they had three children: Carolina, Ercole and Giovanni. Ercole continued his father Noè's craft activity and got married to Giuditta Macchi. They had three children: Noè, Innocente and Antonia. Ercole, Knight of the Republic for war merits, attended the Brera Academy and was President of the Cassanese Association of War Disabled and Invalids, after fighting in the First World War (208th Infantry, Taro Brigade) and being wounded in the head by a grenade explosion. The Gallarate branch of the company was headed by Carlo Gasparoli. Married to Giromina Baratelli, he had five children: Mirocle, Ulisse, Amneris, Giuseppina and Aldo. Initially, Ulisse, brilliant and outgoing, continued the business together with his brother Mirocle, from whom he soon separated. He was a good gymnast and manager of the Gallaratese Gymnastics Society; passionate about the mountains, he was a councillor of the Italian Alpine Club.
- THE COMPANY MERGER - ERCOLE AND ULISSE1945
In 1945, at the end of the war, a small artisan business run by Ercole Gasparoli was operating in Cassano Magnago, while in Gallarate there was another run by his cousin Ulisse, registered with the Chamber of Commerce as Ercole Gasparoli & C. In October 1945, however, Ulisse and Ercole decided to merge with their respective businesses, retaining the name E. Gasparoli & C.
1951NEW DEVELOPMENTS - INNOCENTE GASPAROLIThe company E. Gasparoli & C. was formally established in 1951 after the decision to also start a commercial activity by opening a shop selling paints, varnishes and fine art supplies in Via Mercanti in Gallarate. With the reorganization of the company, Innocente Gasparoli, Ercole's son, who had recently graduated as a surveyor, joined the company. In 1951, Innocente married Eurosia Crostada, with whom he had three children: Paolo, Guido and Marco. In 1961, there was a further significant corporate reorganization that saw Innocente officially become a co-owner of the company. On 24 January 1969, Ulisse Gasparoli died and his wife took over his share of company, which she later transferred to Innocente. Thus, on 23 April of the same year, the E. Gasparoli & C SaS was established, consisting of the General Partner Ercole Gasparoli with a 30% stake and the limited partner Innocente Gasparoli with a 70% stake. On 17 March 1976, Ercole Gasparoli died and, at the end of the division of the inheritance, between the brothers, the new company called “Gasparoli di geom. Innocente & C SaS” was established.

A JOB LIKE OURS REQUIRES GREAT PROFESSIONALISM AND A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH. HOWEVER, ALL THIS WOULD NOT BE ENOUGH WITHOUT GREAT SENSITIVITY AND THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A TEAM.
For this reason, we have built a team of highly valued professionals who are constantly trained and updated, with strictly permanent contracts. We have always promoted a culture focused on the quality of the service offered (reliability of technical solutions, quality of execution, punctuality, organisation) and we encourage discussion and teamwork within a deep-rooted culture of respect and responsibility. A "seal of guarantee" that only Gasparoli is able to offer its customers.
A true team made up of executives, middle managers and operators, where everyone has a defined role and clear tasks. Everyone contributes to achieve the result: self-promotion, company development, customer satisfaction and regional enhancement.
"Interdependent people combining
their individual efforts with those of others to achieve greater success"
(Stephen Covey)
The past has handed down extraordinary stories and precious material evidence to us. These irreplaceable documents convey artistic, historical, social, religious and material culture messages that are fundamental to society. Our task is to take care of this heritage, which is the consolidated environment, to protect, enhance and pass it to the future in all its vibrant beauty and truth.
Joy, wonder, learning, amazement, discovery. During and after restoration, a world of emotions and unexplored possibilities opens up. The restored object becomes the protagonist and animator of the landscape, generating new urban opportunities. It suggests new interpretations to the most cultured and sensitive minds, attracts lovers of beauty, offers opportunities for memorable experiences to cultural tourism and makes new knowledge available.
The company understood the importance of operating within a quality management system as early as 1997. Since then, it has continued a path of continuous verification and updating of the system, first adapting it to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 standards and later to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.
In order to better communicate the company’s vision, what our company wants to be and what it aims to achieve, the Board of Directors drafted a policy document on corporate values in 2003. This document was distributed and shared with all staff and collaborators, and its validity is still confirmed today.

A SIGN, ALMOST A SCRATCH—TWISTING LINES TRACED IN A CIRCULAR FORM—THIS IS “OUR” LABYRINTH. AN ELEMENT WE CHOSE AS A SYMBOL AND METAPHOR FOR THE MULTIFACETED AND EVER-CHANGING REALITY IN WHICH WE OPERATE: NOTHING IN CONSTRUCTION, IN FACT, IS MORE COMPLEX THAN MAINTENANCE AND RESTORATION.
